Dark Star (Pre-Alpha)

Dark Star is an upcoming strategy title that offers unparalleled tactical control. Command your fleet of spacecraft as you move and maneuver in 3D space. Plan out your orders with unlimited tactical pause, then watch as they're executed in real-time.

Gameplay

In the tactical pause, give orders to your fleet. Draw your flight paths, set targets, and (coming soon) activate powerful abilities. Move and maneuver on all axes to keep your enemies within your sights, and your vulnerable areas protected.

Then watch the glorious battle unfold...

Controls

Camera:

• WASD - move
• QE - ascend/descend
• Rmb + drag - rotate

Battle:

• Z - icon view
• X - tactical view
• Lmb - select ship/squadron
• F - focus on selection
• WASDQE - break focus

Ships:

To set a ship's flight path, first select it. The white lines show the current plane of movement. Move the camera around the ship to change the plane. 

• Lmb + drag - move destination
• Ctrl - secondary mode
• Drag left/right - roll destination
• Drag up/down - move destination up/down to the plane

Turrets will automatically target and fire on enemies in range. Focus Fire is currently non-functional.

Fighters:

Fighter squadrons will automatically target enemies. To give a custom target, use the Target button and select a valid target. Hunt is currently non-functional.
